Caparo Atlas Fastenings have been trading on the same site in the West Midlands for over 120 years.

In 1887 we started trading as FW Cotterell Ltd and then for most of the last century to 1982 traded as GKN, manufacturing Bolts, Nuts and Studs.

In 1982, Armstrong acquired GKN and formed Armstrong Fastenings Ltd and following further acquisitions of GSF and Charles Richards continued trading as Armstrong. Caparo acquired Armstrong in 1987.

In 2006 in line with Caparo's global expansion, we where re branded 'Caparo Atlas Fastenings' Ltd.
