Caparo Atlas Fastenings is committed to the reduction in the impact of it's operations on the environment. This will be achieved as a result of the development and operation of an effective EMS certified to ISO 14001 that will identify the significant environmental impacts from new and existing processes.
To achieve this commitment Caparo Atlas Fastenings will:
1. Comply with all relevant Environmental legislation and approved codes of practice relating to our Environmental Aspects.
2. Assess the Environmental Aspects of all activities and endeavour to reduce the overall impact, by either controlling or improving Environmental performance..
3. Sustain a programme of continual improvement in Environmental performance, incorporating suitable measures and monitoring techniques.
4. Prevent pollution by incorporating best practices in the design and development of new products, processes and / or services. To avoid, reduce or control the creation, emission or discharge of any type of pollutant or waste and reduce adverse impacts on the Environment.
5. Raise awareness; encourage participation and train persons working for, or on the behalf of Caparo Atlas Fastenings in Environmental matters.
6. Encourage development of Environmental standards within the supply chain..
Caparo Atlas Fastenings shall ensure that this policy and the objectives and targets are communicated to all employees as part of there ongoing employment and to the general public and any other interested party where requested.
